Welcome to the Centre for Sustainability Accounting
The Centre for Sustainability Accounting (CenSA) is involved in leading-edge research for sustainability accounting tools and applications to environmental and broader sustainability issues. We develop methods and data for Scope 3 (supply chain) carbon footprint analysis, triple bottom line accounting and corporate sustainability reporting. Our aim is to continuously develop and improve scientifically rigorous and comprehensive approaches for integrated sustainability accounting to inform organisational decisions and actions on the way to a more sustainable future.
CenSA has entered a joint venture agreement with Ove Arup & Partners Ltd (Arup) for the delivery of carbon footprint services. CenSA will continue to update and expand Scope 3 input-output models while Arup take over full and sole responsibility for marketing, client engagement, analysis and distribution.
CenSA also continues to produce supply chain (Scope 3) greenhouse gas emission factors for the UK Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) for the "Guidance on how to measure and report your greenhouse gas emissions".
